Electronic Arts, a global leader in digital interactive entertainment, has announced its sponsorship of our flagship One Special Walk event, taking place in London on Friday 3 October 2025.

Hundreds of walkers – including games studios, gamers, fans, and SpecialEffect supporters – will set off from the London Stadium and make their way 15 miles across the capital to Wembley Stadium, raising vital funds to ensure our life-changing services for people with severe physical disabilities remain free and for ever.”

Jaimie Vargas, Head of Global Social Impact, Electronic Arts said, “When we make play possible for everyone, we unlock the true power of games — to connect, to include, and to have fun. We’re honored to partner with SpecialEffect as the lead sponsor for One Special Walk, united by our shared vision to bring the joy of gaming to more players.”

Tom Donegan, our COO, added, “We have a long history of collaboration and partnership with Electronic Arts. We are delighted to welcome them as our Headline Sponsors and their involvement not only helps us raise funds but also raises awareness of the daily challenges faced by people with severe physical disabilities. This generous support means SpecialEffect will be able to help more gamers with different access needs enjoy the magic of videogames, entirely free of charge, for as long as they need us.”

One Special Walk is the main event of SpecialEffect’s annual One Special Day fundraising campaign supported by the games industry worldwide. It promises to be an unforgettable day of camaraderie, purpose, and achievement.
