Every year we’re grateful for the amazing One Special Day support from the global games industry in helping to bring incredible gaming moments to physically disabled gamers across the world!
With this year’s event taking place on Friday 6 October, we’re again inviting the industry to partner with us in a variety of ways, through corporate donations, sales revenue, and fundraising events in what is promising to be a fun, diverse and special event! But don’t just take our word for it, here’s what some of our good friends and One Special Day supporters have said:
“I’m amazed and inspired by the great work that SpecialEffect does. I’ve always believed that video games have the power not just to entertain, but really reach and connect. Thanks to SpecialEffect, they’re able to connect even more people.”
Tim Schafer, Founder, Double Fine Productions
“Games should be enjoyed by everyone, and SpecialEffect work tirelessly to ensure that those facing physical disabilities get to play too. The impact and positive change that they bring to other people’s lives is huge, and you can’t help but want to support this dedicated, passionate and amazing team to do more great work. It’s driven our studio’s ongoing One Special Support over the last five years.”
Tara Saunders, Studio Head, PlayStation London Studio
“I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with the wonderful team at SpecialEffect for the last five years. They are ALL HEART and I’m continually inspired and humbled by the passion and dedication they bring to all their incredible work. These guys are second-to-none at creating and fostering community for all gamers.”
Deborah Mensah-Bonsu, Founder, Games for Good

We wanted to show our support for everyone at SpecialEffect, everything they do and ultimately their service users. Because games can and should be, for everyone.”
