Ripstone’s 150km One Special Challenge
Our friends at Ripstone Games in Liverpool were part of the very first One Special Day in 2016 – and five years on they’re still going the extra mile (and then some!)
This year as part of One Special Challenge (where we invite people to take on virtual challenges between from now until the end of October), 23 members of the Ripstone team are going to contribute distances of 1k, 5k, and 10k by walking and running to a collective total of 150 kilometres, raising £1500 in the process to support our work!
You can help them get past the finish line through their JustGiving page.
Jamie Brayshaw, Head of Marketing, said “We love supporting SpecialEffect every year and for 2020’s One Special Challenge we wanted to go big and get everybody at Ripstone involved. We want it to be as inclusive as possible, so everybody can challenge themselves in their own way to contribute. 150km is a big goal but we’re looking forward to chasing it down together!”
“We chose this year’s challenge based on wanting to promote emotional, physical and mental wellbeing for everyone. We believe it’s more important than it ever has been in 2020 to focus on wellbeing, because it’s been such a difficult and restrictive year for us all. Whether it’s laps of the garden or a 10k run through Liverpool, this is an opportunity for each of us to push ourselves and raise support for an amazing cause close to our hearts. We’re really excited to get going and raise a lot of support for SpecialEffect!“
Thanks so much to everyone at Ripstone taking up the challenge, and good luck from the team here at SpecialEffect!
