Spring into One Special Day 2019!

Winter has given way to spring here in the UK which can only mean one thing… time to get ready for One Special Day. We’ve been given a great start in doing just that by our friend Damir Durovic, CEO and Co-Founder of Reboot. Damir extended his usual generous invitation to Reboot Blue in Dubrovnik to catch up with some of our fantastic One Special Day partners and explain to prospective partners what it’s all about and why it’s so important to SpecialEffect’s work with disabled gamers.

And at GDC in San Francisco we caught up with the team from Seriously! who have been instrumental to the success of One Special Day in encouraging other mobile game developers to donate a day of UK income on 4 October to help us level the playing for disabled gamers.

Meanwhile, we’ve been engaging with gaming communities in Berlin (TwitchCon), Manchester (Elite Community Meet), Wrexham (Wales Comicon) and Birmingham (EGX Eurogamer and Insomnia). It’s been a busy month for a small team but the love we get from the gaming communities makes it all an absolute pleasure.

We’re aiming to help engage even more gaming communities for One Special Day 2019 and hope yours will be one of them in the run up to 4 October.

For more information on One Special Day and how you and your community can be involved, please get in touch with Nick at nick@specialeffect.org.uk.
